Errata: Adapt912D60 and
Adapt912DG128
2/22/01:
There is a schematic/circuit
board design error related to the second analog-to-digital subsystem, making
this subsytem unusable without hardware modification. This applies
to both Rev. 0 and Rev. 1 boards.
Background:
Due to a pinout error in the schematic
symbol used to design these boards, the VRH1, VRL1, and VSSA signals are
mixed up (pins 86, 87, and 88).
Workaround:
Make the following changes to the
board:
-
Remove C7
-
Cut the track from C7 pin 2 going to
pin 86 of U1, on the component side of the board
-
add a small jumper wire from pin 86
of U1 to pin 1 (square pad) of C7
-
Remove R5 (R16 on Rev. 0 board)
-
Remove C16
-
Replace C16 with a jumper wire
Pin 31 of H2 of this modified board
will now be VRL1 (not VRH1) and Pin 30 will be VSSA (instead of VRL1)
Note that in subsequent revisions
of the board, however, pins 30 and 31 will revert to their assigned functions
of VRL1 and VRH1, respectively.
If you are unable or unwilling to
make the above changes, please contact us to return your board for correction.
