Description:  Sixty seconds of high-quality speech record/playback under MCU control is provided by way of the ISD2560 single-chip record/playback system.  It uses analog EEPROM to record speech directly, bypassing the traditional method of A/D and D/A conversion.  The record memory is configurable into multiple segments, and each segment is MCU-addressable.  Switchable microphone and line-level inputs are provided, and output is to a headphone or amplified speakers.  The board can also be used for standalone applications without the need for a MCU.  Record and Play buttons are provided for this purpose.  Also, an input connection is provided for an external switch (eg. dry contact) so that sound can be triggered by an alarm contact, a motion sensor, doorbell pushbutton, etc.
